As a designer, you need to gather information from your client to do your job, and your clients need to take time out of their day to provide you with this information. And the simplest way to accomplish this for both them, and yourself is a questionnaire. And I’m not talking about just a piece of paper or an email that you’re sending them, you can make it even simpler!

An online questionnaire is something that a client can easily fill out on their smartphone or tablet, and what’s more, it’ll give you the responses as soon as they click “submit”.

The great thing about using an online form builder like Google Forms, or JotForm is that you can then automate that task. So, when a potential client fills out a form on your website for a consultation, an email automatically fires off with your questionnaire.
